That’s why Studio Fresh chose a series of Aboriginal paintings as inspiration for a collection of wonderful fabric purses – all hand made in Australia.

These are living stories.

Desmond Tjapaltjarri was born in Alice Springs. He grew up in Mt Liebig watching his Grandfather, Bill Whiskey Tjapaltjarri, painting the stories of his land. Before his father died, Desmond was given permission to interpret his father’s work in his own paintings. Bringing new life to his father’s art.

Studio Fresh has used Desmond’s painting, Cockatoo Tjukurrpa, to create a series of purses completely and lovingly made by hand from 100% cotton.

With a percentage of each sale going to the artist, these purses continue to tell beautiful stories that will also endure.
